Marysville School District finalized Dr. Deborah Rumbaugh’s appointment as its permanent superintendent during a school board meeting Monday at 6 p.m.—she served as interim superintendent since March following Dr. David Burgess’s departure, marking the third leadership change since 2022.

State Avenue will be closed on Saturday, Dec.
6 for the Merrysville for the Holidays Electric Lights Parade, with the road closed from 4th Street (SR 528) to Grove Street starting at 5 p.m. and reopening by 10 p.m., and detour routes in effect (Cedar Avenue, Grove Street and Armar Road).
