ACCIDENTS NEWS

➤ Search and rescue teams concluded a days-long operation on August 29 to recover a 40-year-old BASE jumper's body from Mt. Baring using a complex rope rescue procedure along an 800-foot vertical drop— the largest such rescue in Snohomish County history, and the Medical Examiner began investigating the cause of death and notifying the victim's next of kin. GOVERNMENT NEWS

➤ Final paving work will occur Tuesday, Sept. 2 through Thursday, Sept. 4 on 67th Avenue NE between Grove Street and 88th Street from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.—residents along the west side should expect limited access and minor traffic delays. City of Marysville
