The Marysville School District board unanimously approved the 2025-26 budget on Aug.
18 after school closures and state oversight challenged the district. The plan allocates $199,484,992 in general fund spending and saves costs by closing schools and reducing central office staff—efforts that boost the fund balance from about $4 million to nearly $6 million at the start of the school year to meet OSPI's 5% goal.
