- ➤ Marysville will host its free Junk in the Trunk event on Saturday, July 12 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Marysville Community Center at 1015 State Ave. The event will have 65 vendors selling used and vintage items and homemade goods—food vendors Big Red Food Truck and Whitehouse Espresso will offer breakfast treats while parking is available at the Civic Center north lot and at the community center. - ➤ Marysville School District’s Board appointed Tulalip tribal member Malory Simpson on Monday to fill the seat left when board president Connor Krebbs resigned to take a staff role, and both Simpson and Ray Sheldon Jr. will appear on the November ballot—board members stressed the appointment is not an endorsement for either candidate.
