CRIME NEWS

  • Authorities are searching for Jonathan Hoang, a 21-year-old man with autism who went missing in Arlington after leaving his home on 114th Drive Northeast between Sunday evening and Monday morning without his jacket, shoes, or phone—he was last seen on March 30 at 7:30 p.m. and his family fears he may have gotten into a car with a stranger.  FOX13

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Marysville School District’s board voted Monday to keep Legacy High School at its current location for the 2025—26 school year, reversing a January plan to move the school and pausing two programs to help save about $2.2 million. The decision aims to lessen changes for students amid the district’s ongoing financial challenges.  HeraldNet

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The Marysville school board approved an amended property exchange that will move the city’s public works facility to the district’s current headquarters at 4220 80th St. NE and shift the district to the former City Hall at 1049 State Ave. The city approved these changes on March 24 and will begin remodeling the former City Hall this month, with construction finishing by the end of the year — the updated deal includes a $2 million payment to the school district for the value difference.  HeraldNet
  • The city and school district agreed in May 2024 on a property exchange that is moving forward after amended deals were approved by the City Council on March 24 and the School Board on March 31. Under the exchange, the city will acquire the district’s old administration building for its Public Works facility while the school district moves into the former City Hall at 1049 State Ave—construction on additions will begin this month and finish by December when the district takes possession.  City of Marysville
