Here's your local news at a glance for Saturday, the 29th of March.
Good morning, Marysville.
🏛️ Government
Marysville invites city residents to apply for a vacancy on the Parks, Culture and Recreation Advisory Board—candidates must submit a letter of interest and resume by Friday, April 18 to City Clerk at 501 Delta Ave. to serve on a board that meets at 5 p.m. on the second Wednesday of every odd-numbered month and continues through September 2026.
State lawmakers proposed cutting wildfire prevention spending by one-third to two-thirds after a $12 billion shortfall and federal workforce cuts made planning more difficult before wildfire season.
State officials warn the cuts may put lives and homes at risk — a move that could leave Washington less prepared for fires.
