On Tuesday, Jan. 27, three new measles cases among Snohomish County children raised the outbreak total to six as one unvaccinated child visited a Mukilteo church (Slavic Christian Church Awakening) on Jan.
18; health officials encourage checking vaccination records as they monitor the outbreak.
A Marysville teenager died from the flu on January 28, marking the first pediatric flu death this season in Snohomish County.
Health officials said the teen was treated at home before the condition worsened and urged residents to get a flu shot.
